Small-Group Art Lessons
Besides attaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, and a Master of Fine Arts from Old Dominion University, Devi Anne has been under the tutelage of master artists at Studio Incamminati  who studied under Nelson Shanks as well as under Michele Tully at Studio Escalier in Paris.

The teaching methods utilized go beyond that of the traditional classroom to help you reach the full potential of your creative right brain. You will find personal expression while appreciating what other artists have achieved throughout the ages. She will advise what materials to buy and help you find your perfect medium. She is knowledgeable about anatomy and form as well as technique and mediums and helps you work from life or photographs. The Art Whisperer's Fine Art Studio is located in Chesapeake, VA

Testimonials from long term students

Here's what our customers have to say:

"Devi has piqued my interest in art history, and color possibilities and promoted a joy in painting. She has encouraged exhibiting, staying positive and new exploration. That is why so many of us are long-time art students of hers. "
—Claudy B
Devi Moore is a wonderful hands-on teacher with positive critiques and demonstrations. I have learned more in her class in a few months than I learned all year with a previous teacher. I rate Devi Moore a ten on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest.

-Lois Center-Shabazz
I have been studying with Ms. Moore for five years and I can see so much positive change. Would encourage anyone interested in the arts to sign up and enjoy learning. She is one of the best in the area

- Jean C. Dryer
Gerry says, " Before I took Devi's classes, I was a mediocre painter. I started taking her classes, and with her guidance, I am becoming an actual artist! I even won best in a show at a recent juried exhibition! " Take her Adult classes or workshop --You won't regret it!

-Gerry Schauer
After years of not feeling confident about my artistic ability, Devi was the perfect teacher to get me fired up again. Not only did she have the knowledge and skills to help me remove my technical roadblocks, but she taught me how to look at my art in a way that keeps me excited and hopeful about what I can do next.

DEVI ANNE MOORE is an award-winning artist with a mission. “I believe God has given everyone a measure of talent,” she says emphatically. “I also believe everyone has a creative side.”
As a result of her conviction, Moore is helping children develop those latent abilities. She teaches art classes year-round from her Greenbrier home and has been holding art camps the past six summers for 6- to 12-year-olds. The summer camp sessions, which run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, have just ended.
“Art camp is a way to do projects I can’t do in weekly hour-and-a-half classes,” Moore said. “I want to teach children the process of making art, being creative, something they can carry into other things. Camp helps the children develop faster.”
A resident of Huntington Lakes, Moore and her husband, Gordon Chancey, have sons George, 9, and Zeke, 6. Displayed throughout their home are some of the works that have brought Moore favorable reviews and awards from more than 40 art exhibitions since 1979. …
