The Painting ProcessÂ
Sequence of the portrait process with a live modelÂ
Squint and Stand backÂ
To distance yourself from your canvass and see properly and accurately you must constantly stand and walk back. You can use a mirror too to see it an a fresh way. This is your greatest teacher-- seeing with a fresh view what you have been focusing on so longÂ
First pass of drawing with a brushÂ
Mixing BS and UB plus a touch of white, draw ing with brush  straight lines and finding  angles to get proportions of the live model.
State the shadows areas
Always correcting the drawing as you go. Divide the lights shapes  from the darks. Shape is key word for achieving accuracy --always in the shapes.Â
